Off to left of the octagonal hallway is the main dining room. The centerpiece is the large oak table that sits twelve quite comfortably. It is used as a communal table for breakfast and dinners (don't worry if you are not on your best form at breakfast, there are plenty of smaller tables in the Red Dining Room)! The chairs are a matching set with the table and there are two carver chairs.

The room is set with prints from countryside scenes and the large fireplace in the back wall provides a suitable rustic backdrop. There are good views of the lake through the bay windows, with access onto the verandah for a post dinner stroll.
